About The Artist

I would like to invite you to join me on my forty-plus year journey of exploring art and art forms. As a child I drew many pictures, painted murals on walls in my home, and took art classes with my grandmother at the John Michael Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

I received a BFA in commercial art from UW Oshkosh in 1980. I was unable to find a job in my field, but was able to find a job. My husband and I relocated to Florida in 1985. Creating art was put on hold and it stunted my artistic abilities.

In 1990 I gave up my job to stay at home with my sons and we created many masterpieces together. When my oldest son started Kindergarten, I began volunteering to teach his class about various artists and through a related art project, showed them how the artist worked. The next year my second son started Kindergarten and I instructed his class as well. I was also able to help with various arts and crafts for both the school and church.

When my daughter started school in 1997, I was able to volunteer for more art related projects. During 1998 I began assisting the middle school students with set design and scenery painting for their annual play. I was able to help with ten plays and retired in May of 2008. I also volunteered as a teacher of art to middle school students for twelve years.

For many years I have donated my art and artistic abilities for fundraisers held by the schools my children have attended, organizations in which I have been involved, and my church. I would like to sell my art to supplement my family’s income and to donate some of my profits to charities in which I am actively involved.
